I am discussing men’s shoes, which is what I have been buying. Mephisto is in a class all by itself, particularly in the sneakers category. I don’t think you can compare any other brand to them. They are so perfectly comfortable, and they look fantastic. Very elegant. Before I began buying them, nobody ever paid attention to to my shoes or sneakers. Now, people actually stop me and ask me what I am wearing. I prefer those that are not suede, but I will wear those with no problem. They are made in Portugal, and extremely well crafted. These are not cheap shoes or sneakers, but I think they are worth the price. If you go on the Mephisto web site you might get confused and buy sneakers called “Allrounder”. They are made in Vietnam and are about 50% cheaper. They look similar to Mephisto and are actually lighter in weight. I would say the Allrounder are not bad, but you will feel some difference in comfort compared to the Mephisto European made product.Beautiful product. I appreciate styling. bit heavy and large around the heel. I typically take a 42, but these ran a little big. Even so, I’ll keep to wear with skinny jeans and for city walking. I’m certain they’ll be more comfortable as I use them.This Mephisto walking shoe is so comfortable for walking. It is well made and looks classy. My husband has bought repeat pairs as they are such a quality product.Great Shoes the only problem is with the sizes, they are big so keep one size down , otherwise they are great , they will last for years .Nice shoe, but insole is attached to the shoe. Not replaceable like other Mephisto shoes. Not good for summer time.This would be a great shoe except that it is not stable in the ankle area. The heel can slip sideways causing one’s ankle to buckle.sos so comfortable; best sneakers ever had worth the priceGreat quality shoes! Worth the price. They last forever.
